After taking a few years break from attending the big trade shows, I was quite thrilled when asked to attend this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas and represent Xaxis. CES is the largest trade show in the world, featuring everything from the latest in mobile technology and communication devices to experimental prototypes in robotics that potentially could never make it into the consumer space. With a record breaking number of attendees every year, the show hit a new milestone this year with a whopping 150,000 registered attendees. Take out a few thousand that could not make it because of the poor weather conditions on the east coast, you’re still left with the largest and most well-attended show in the world. In comparison, Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which is a comparable show of this kind in Europe, is expecting to break a record with over 70,000 attendees this year.
