GroupM adds to Information Technology Leadership in North America

David Michael Named Chief Information Officer

NEW YORK – GroupM announced today it has named David Michael as Chief Information Officer in North America. The new role strengthens the company’s information technology operations and aligns with its strategy to provide its agencies and their clients with first-to-market data and technology-driven solutions and processes.

As CIO, Michael is responsible for IT delivery in North America. From authorizations to dashboards to human resources to finance, he is responsible for working with GroupM and its agencies to identify, enable and execute data-driven solutions which provide technological advantages and deliver efficiency.

Michael brings 20 years of IT experience to GroupM. He is an experienced senior leader of technology, business and operations teams with a background in technology-driven innovation, IT integration, strategy development, and the execution of technology digital platforms and products. He also has a deep understanding of media and communications businesses in the B2B sector, as well as live events. Prior to joining GroupM, he spent six years at UBM, serving as CIO of UBM Tech, EVP of Global Technology for UBM PLC, and CIO of UBM TechWeb. He has held IT leadership positions at PR Newswire, PR Newswire Europe, and Oxford Information Technology in the United Kingdom.

Michael is based in New York City and reports to Clark and GroupM Worldwide Chief Information Officer Joe Seibert.
