Effective immediately Albrychiewicz assumes the newly created position after four years as GroupM Poland CEO and a total career of 24+ years within the WPP network.

Aligning CEE markets enables GroupM to match clients’ requirements. As CEO, Albrychiewicz will be working to support client ambitions and deliver on their business goals. The 10 countries within the alliance form a key focus for client growth and development within the EMEA region, as a series of locations driving innovation and excellence.

Josh Krichefski, GroupM EMEA and UK CEO said, “Bringing CEE markets together leverages their collective scale to enable increased efficiency and speed of decision making, as well as opening up better career opportunities for our people. Our dedicated CEE market alliance approach will support clients we’re already working with that have CEE remits, as well as informing and supporting international clients targeting and coming into the region. Iza has been doing this role informally for some time. We’re formalizing it as we see Iza and the role as fundamental to the success of the GroupM CEE market alliance.”

Izabela Albrychiewicz, GroupM CEE CEO added, “While informally leading the GroupM CEE market alliance I’ve had a chance to get to know and understand the region’s markets. I see great potential for closer cooperation and exchange of knowledge and innovation. The formalization of my new role coincides with the client trend of marketing department regionalization structures, and their requirement for agency partners with aligned representation. In my new role, I will be closer to the needs of advertisers and the specifics of the globalizing media market. GroupM and our agencies are in a unique position to support clients define a new era of advertising as the largest market player, with a share oscillating around 30% in advertising investments.”

About GroupM CEE

The regional CEO of GroupM draws attention to the macroeconomic potential of the CEE region, which in the coming years will develop faster than Western economies, in accordance with the forecasts of the European Commission. Advertising investments in the region will be supported by, among others, record low unemployment rate in most countries of the region, which affects household decisions in a number of categories – from durable goods (electronics, automotive, furniture) to real estate investments. The CEE region has become popular as a location for foreign direct investments (FDI), as seen in its inflows in recent years.
