GroupM Promotes Kieley Taylor, Amanda Grant to Global Platform Roles

The promotions advance GroupM’s directive to gain differentiated advantage and value for clients within some of the most scaled, powerful platforms in the world

New York (November 3, 2020) GroupM, WPP’s media investment group, today announced that Kieley Taylor and Amanda Grant have been elevated to the roles of global head of partnerships and global head of social, respectively, effective immediately. The move advances GroupM’s directive to gain differentiated advantage and value for clients within some of the most scaled, powerful platforms in the world such as Amazon, Facebook, Google and Twitter.

Taylor, previously the Global Head of Social, takes over the role previously held by Andrew Meaden, who was promoted to Global Head of Investment Strategy earlier this year, and will primarily focus on designing and implementing GroupM’s partnership strategy, with a particular focus on Google. Grant, who has previously served as North America and Asia Pacific Head of Social, will focus on advancing GroupM’s social commerce strategy and regional/global measurement to help move the industry forward and evaluate new tactics for client success.

“There’s a lot of opportunity yet to be realized on the partnerships front,” said Taylor. “The stronger our relationships are, the more access to new products and more innovative media approaches to get clients’ results. It also allows us to minimize the impact of the decline of cookies, build custom models to better understand campaign effectiveness, and shape product roadmaps with partners to benefit our clients.”

“Social media is in a constant status of evolution. There are always new platform announcements and new opportunities to consider that enable media agencies to apply or improve social media strategies and tactics for our clients,” said Grant. “We have a mature and advanced paid social practice. We’ve seen for some time, but is especially prevalent in 2020, is a major convergence of social platforms and user demand driving change around data usage, platform usability and commerce. Our path ahead is guided by our ability to adapt, coupled with media rigor and innovation.”

Both Taylor and Grant bring extensive experience within GroupM to their roles, have both served in varying roles on the social team for the last 10 years. Their experience working closely together will allow for a seamless alignment of services and investment across the GroupM network that is essential to realizing the “one voice” approach and strategy companywide to bring clients a more united operation.

“With global platform spend continuing to grow each year, these are crucial roles for us,” said Christian Juhl, GroupM’s Global CEO. “Kieley and Amanda both bring strong collaborative approaches with partners, as well as an innate ability to connect geographies, teams, tools and services across GroupM, our agencies, as well as WPP. Their passion for our clients and in-depth knowledge of the complex global landscape will create new opportunities for us in leading the next era of media.”
