Heather Baily Named Chief Financial Officer, GroupM Canada

TORONTO— Aug 1, 2018 – GroupM, the media investment group of WPP, today announced the appointment of Heather Baily to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its operations in Canada. Based in Toronto and reporting to CEO, Stuart Garvie, Baily will be responsible for the financial strategy and operations of GroupM in Canada. She will work closely with the leadership and commercial teams at GroupM’s agencies in Canada including Mindshare, MediaCom, Wavemaker, Essence and m/SIX, as well GroupM’s outcome-focused programmatic company, Xaxis. Based on revenue, Canada is GroupM’s seventh-largest market and important to the company’s global growth.
Baily will be the first-ever CFO for GroupM Canada. Prior, the financial operations of the group in Canada were overseen day-to-day by GroupM’s CFO for North America, Mark Sanders, who will continue to work closely with Baily in her new capacity. The appointment ensures that the leadership team and clients of GroupM in Canada have senior, expert and dedicated financial oversight in the market.
